Josh was born and raised in New York City on Manhattan’s lower west side. He moved to Utah in 1999 to attend BYU and graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 2006. Josh has been with Walden since the fall of 2008, during which time he has taught numerous art and art related classes, including observational drawing, mixed media, Photoshop, stop-‐motion animation, watercolor, graphic design, contemporary art theory, and oil painting, as well as a variety of art history classes. In addition to teaching, Josh has also chaperoned students on trips to Southern Utah, Denver, Moab, Jamaica, and locally to many destinations around Utah County. When Josh is not teaching he enjoys spending as much time as he can in the mountains, rock climbing, hiking, and skiing. In addition to his outdoor activities Josh is constantly working at his craft as an artist. He paints primarily with oil paint and exhibits his artwork in and around Salt Lake and Utah County.
