Frequently Asked Questions

Hey you! Meet Walden

Our programs ground students in nature, intellectual challenge, community, experiential journeys,  independent learning, service, health and well-being.

A competency-based education will shift focus away from grades and discrete credits. It provides more flexibility about what and how students learn. It asks for evidence of learning through portfolio work such as papers, projects, reflections, and video/media records.

We have high expectations for learning and our curriculum is very academically rigorous.
