Fieldwork Fridays are an essential component of a Walden Education.

Fieldwork Fridays are student planned experiences. They are a time for sparking curiosity, discovering new interests and passions, exploring the world outside of the classroom, fostering community, and contributing to the wider community, and celebrating our journey as lifelong learners. 

Fieldwork Fridays can include:

• A field trip to the Hogle Zoo 
• A monthly Walden Walk 
• Our annual trip to the Hale Centre 
• Theatre Guest speakers & organizations 
• Extended learning & project time for seminars 
• Internship Day 
• School-wide Celebration Days to showcase student work 
• Service Days 
• Communal Lunch is held on campus once a month with all students and faculty
