Student-driven Projects

At the heart of our educational approach is a student-centered model, where students have a real voice and choice in their learning. Walden School offers Pathways Projects for students where students can match their learning experiences to their interests and passions.

Pathway experiences begin in elementary and middle school with Academies, Change Maker Projects, and Field Experiences. High School Pathways are a bit more formal and offer opportunities to engage with independent project work, internships, hands-on classes, and early college experiences.

Choose your own adventure

Pathways Projects

Choose from workshops, classes, clubs, field trips & internships to build your own unique program of learning. Follow your chosen pathway(s) for the joy of gaining new skills & understanding. Along the way, earn certifications, participate in internships, and engage with amazing classes. Participate in celebrations as you reach each new destination. High school students can even earn college credits.

Walden has partnered with the Utah State Board of Educations’ CTE program to offer students even more opportunities to explore exciting careers in multiple fields of study.

High School students should meet with their Counselor for more information about individual projects.
