Middle School Program

Walden's middle school curriculum empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.

Grades 5-8

Our Middle School Program is designed to help students:

  • build confidence in managing their own learning
  • learn by doing, connecting the classroom to the larger world
  • learn critical academic skills
  • thrive in positive school cultures where they are engaged and motivated to excel

STEM Education is an integral part of every classroom at Walden. Middle School students will engage in introductory CS courses such as Digital Literacy and Creative Coding. Those interested in pursuing a CTE Pathway in high school can prepare by completing Introductory and advanced Python coding classes. Students will be invited to engage with a wide array of extracurricular clubs and activities, such as Robotics Team, Web Development, and Coding.
